Pakistan: cade aereo militare, 19 vittime

Almeno 19 persone sono morte e 16 ferite dopo che un aereo dell’Aviazione dell’Esercito del Pakistan si è schiantato nella città di Rawalpindi nella provincia del Punjab in Pakistan durante un volo di addestramento di routine, secondo quanto riportato dai media locali.

L’incidente ha provocato un massiccio incendio ed ha inghiottito diverse case, secondo il quotidiano Dunya News.

Tra le vittime c’erano sia l’equipaggio che i residenti locali.

Le cause dell’incidente rimangono poco chiare, procedono i soccorsi.

Death Toll of Pakistani Military Plane Crash Rises to 19 – At least 19 people were killed and 16 others injured after a plane of the Pakistan Army Aviation crashed in the Rawalpindi city of Pakistan’s Punjab province during a routine training flight, local media reported on Tuesday.

The crash caused a massive fire to break out at the incident site and engulf several houses nearby, the Dunya News newspaper reported. Among the victims were both, the crew and local residents, the report added.

The causes of the crash remain unclear and the rescue brigades have been earlier reported to be operating at the scene.
