Il numero di persone infettate dal virus Ebola nelle province nordorientali del Kivu Nord e Ituri della Repubblica Democratica del Congo dall’inizio dell’epidemia nel 2018 è salito a 1206. Lo ha reso noto il ministero della Salute della RDC. Di queste, 764 persone sono morte e 358 sono guarite.
The amount of people who have been infected with the Ebola virus in the northeastern Kivu Nord and Ituri provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) since the beginning of the outbreak in 2018 has reached 1,206, the DRC Health Ministry said on Friday.
In March, the ministry reported 1,009 cases of people infected with the virus and 629 were confirmed dead as a result of it.
“As of Thursday, April 11, 2019, [Ebola virus infection] totals to 1,206 cases [1,140 confirmed and 66 possible] and 764 people dead,” the ministry tweeted.
It added that 358 people had been cured from the decease since the virus broke out in the DRC in 2018.
