Quasi 1.000 rifugiati siriani sono tornati in patria dalla Giordania e dal Libano nelle ultime 24 ore. Lo ha detto il Centro per la riconciliazione del Ministero della Difesa russo. “Nell’ultimo giorno, in totale 972 persone sono tornate nella Repubblica araba siriana dal territorio di stati stranieri: 73 persone (22 donne e 37 bambini) hanno lasciato il Libano per la Siria attraverso i checkpoint Jaydet-Yabus e Talkalakh, e 899 persone (270 donne e 458 bambini) dalla Giordania attraverso il checkpoint Nassib”, ha detto il centro in un bollettino quotidiano.

Il numero di siriani che sono tornati nel loro paese di origine dal luglio 2018 è aumentato a 157.410, secondo il bollettino. Inoltre, oltre 110 siriani sfollati interni sono tornati ai loro luoghi di residenza nel corso del periodo in questione.

Nel frattempo, le unità di ingegneria siriane hanno ripulito dalle mine 2 ettari di terreno nelle province di Quneitra, Damasco e Homs e hanno distrutto 26 ordigni esplosivi nelle ultime 24 ore, ha aggiunto il centro.

Poiché il governo siriano ha riacquistato il controllo sulla maggior parte dei territori del paese che sono stati sequestrati dai terroristi, ora si concentra sulla creazione di condizioni favorevoli per il rimpatrio dei rifugiati. Almost 1,000 Syrian refugees have returned to their homeland from Jordan and Lebanon over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry’s Center for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring said on Wednesday.

“Over the past day, in total 972 people returned to the Syrian Arab Republic from the territory of foreign states: 73 people (22 women and 37 children) left Lebanon for Syria via the Jaydet-Yabus and Talkalakh CPs [checkpoints], and 899 people (270 women and 458 children) from Jordan via the Nassib CP,” the center said in a daily bulletin.

The number of Syrians who returned back to their country of origin since July 2018 has increased to 157,410, according to the bulletin.

In addition, over 110 internally displaced Syrians have returned to their places of residence in the Arab republic over the given period.

Syrian engineering units have, meanwhile, cleared of mines 2 hectares (5 acres) of land in the provinces of Quneitra, Damascus and Homs and destroyed 26 explosive devices over the past 24 hours, the center added.

As the Syrian government has regained control over most of the country’s territories that were seized by terrorists, it is now focused on creating favorable conditions for repatriating refugees. Moscow is assisting Damascus in this process, along with providing humanitarian aid to civilians and being a guarantor of the ceasefire.
