Il Cremlino ritiene che la riunificazione della Crimea con la Russia sia un evento storico molto importante e non ha dubbi che il presidente russo Vladimir Putin prenderà parte alle prossime celebrazioni per il suo quinto anniversario. Lo ha detto mercoledì il portavoce del Cremlino Dmitry Peskov.
Alla domanda se Putin visiterà la Crimea per unirsi alle celebrazioni, che si svolgeranno da venerdì a lunedì, Peskov ha detto che il viaggio del presidente nella penisola, se deciso, sarà annunciato più tardi.
“Ora si stanno valutando varie opzioni, ma posso dire una cosa: il giorno della riunificazione della Crimea con la Russia, il suo quinto anniversario, è una data molto importante per tutti i russi, ed è per questo che non ci possono essere dubbi sul fatto che Putin prenderà parte agli eventi rilevanti in modo adeguato”, ha detto Peskov ai giornalisti.
Il presidente russo Vladimir Putin ha detto che la questione dell’appartenenza territoriale della Crimea è “storicamente chiusa”, dal momento che i residenti di Crimea hanno deciso di ricongiungersi alla Russia secondo procedure democratiche.
The Kremlin believes that Crimea’s reunification with Russia is a very important historic event and has no doubts that Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in upcoming celebrations for its fifth anniversary, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.
Asked whether Putin will visit Crimea to join the celebrations, which will take place from Friday to Monday, personally, Peskov said that the president’s trip to the peninsula, if decided upon, would be announced later.
”Various options are being considered now but I can definitely say one thing: the day of Crimea’s reunification with Russia, its fifth anniversary, is a very important date for all Russians, that is why there could be no doubts that Putin will take part in relevant events in a proper manner,” Peskov told reporters.
Crimea rejoined Russia on March 18, 2014, after 97 percent of those participating in a regional referendum voted for the reunification. Ukraine and the majority of Western countries continue to consider Crimea as Ukrainian territory, accusing Russia of its illegitimate annexation. Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that the issue of Crimea’s territorial belonging is “historically closed,” since Crimean residents decided to rejoin Russia in accordance with democratic procedures.
