L’Unione europea fornirà ulteriore assistenza macrofinanziaria all’Ucraina per 1 miliardo euro. Lo ha deciso il Parlamento europeo sostenendo la proposta della Commissione che a marzo aveva adottato il quarto programma di aiuto su richiesta di Kiev.
The European Parliament has backed further macro-financial assistance totaling 1 billion euros ($1.18 billion) from the European Union to Ukraine, according to the results of vote held on Wednesday. In early March, the European Commission adopted a proposal for the fourth consecutive Macro-Financial Assistance (MFA) program for Ukraine worth 1 billion euros following a request by the Ukrainian authorities. In late May, a source familiar with the matter told Sputnik that if the EU Parliament agreed to allocate this financial aid, the proposal would need to be signed by both the legislature and the Council of the European Union. The source added that this was expected to happen in July.
