Turchia, fermati 50 cittadini stranieri sospettati di legami con Isis

La polizia antiterrorismo turca ha arrestato decine di cittadini stranieri a Istanbul sospetti di collegamenti con l’Isis. L’operazione di sicurezza ha interessato 13 distretti della città contro 54 presunti affiliati all’organizzazione. Gli attacchi terroristici in Turchia hanno provocato almeno 300 vittime:  finora sono finiti nella lista dei sospetti almeno 5000, di cui 780 tra cui 350 cittadini stranieri, sono rinchiusi in carcere. Espulse dal Paese 3300 persone mentre 38 mila sono state bandite e non possono varcare il confine turco.

Turkish counterterrorism police have arrested over 50 foreign nationals in Istanbul on suspicion of being associated with the Islamic State (IS, terror group, banned in Russia), local media reported on Tuesday. Turkish security units conducted counterterrorism raids in 13 districts of Istanbul to hunt down 54 IS militants who were suspected of plotting terrorist attacks, the Anadolu news agency said, citing an anonymous source. According to the media, IS terror attacks in Turkey have collectively claimed over 300 lives. Turkish government forces are conducting a long-running campaign against terrorist activity in the country, and have arrested over 5,000 IS suspects since the onset of the military action against the IS in Syria and Iraq. About 3,300 people of 95 nationalities have been deported from Turkey and over 38,000 are banned from entry in connection with their links to the IS. About 780 people, including 350 foreign nationals, are currently in custody on terrorism charges.
