Russia’s response to any illegal UK actions against Russian media will be based on the principle of reciprocity, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday. On Monday, several UK parliament members called on the government to impose restrictive measures on RT, including the revocation of its broadcasting license in the country, in the wake of the poisoning of former officer of Russia’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) Sergei Skripal in Salisbury. “As you understand, any illegal actions regarding any Russian media outlet in the United Kingdom will lead to response steps on the basis of reciprocity … These steps will correspond to Russia’s interests in the best possible way,” Peskov told reporters. The Kremlin is not in a position to suggest any theories regarding who is behind the poisoning of former Russian intelligence officer Sergei Skripal in Salisbury, it is not its business, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday. “This is not our business, to propose any theories, especially by the Kremlin, as the Kremlin does not investigate incidents, especially those which took place outside of our territory,” he told reporters.
