Un’esplosione a Kiev ha ferito un parlamentare e ucciso la sua guardia del corpo. Secondo il ministero degli Interni ucraino si tratta di un attacco terroristico. Le autorità hanno attivato le procedure previste in questi casi dall’articolo 258 del codice penale. L’episodio è avvenuto in tarda serata nel quartiere Smolenskiy. L’inchiesta è stata affidata al servizio di sicurezza (SBU), l’autorità antiterrorismo del Paese.
An explosion in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev that wounded a lawmaker and killed a bodyguard is being treated as a terror attack, the nation’s Interior Ministry said early Thursday.
“A criminal case has been opened under Article 258 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code, which deals with acts of terrorism,” the ministry announced on Facebook.
The blast hit outside of a television channel office in the Smolenskiy district late on Wednesday, injuring five people, including Verkhovna Rada member Ihor Mosiychuk, political analyst Vitaliy Bala and a 30-year-old member of a special police unit, who has succumbed to his wounds.
The Security Service (SBU), Ukraine’s main counter-terrorism authority, will lead the investigation, the Interior Ministry has said.
