Il direttore generale Christine Lagarde incontrerà le autorità cinesi durante il suo viaggio a Pechino il 14 e il 15 maggio. Lo ha reso noto il vice-portavoce del Fmi William Murray durante un briefing. In Cina Lagarde parteciperà al summit One Belt, One Road e sarà ospite del presidente Xi Jinping. Durante l’evento, Lagarde vedrà anche il primo ministro greco Alexis Tsipras.

International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde will meet with the Chinese authorities during her trip to Beijing on May 14-15, IMF Deputy Spokesman William Murray said in a briefing on Thursday. “While Madame Lagarde is in Beijing, she will also meet with the Chinese leadership and other senior officials,” Murray told reporters. While in China, Lagarde will participate in the One Belt, One Road summit hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping. During the event, Lagarde will also meet with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, according to the IMF. The Fund is currently in talks with Greece with respect to the issue of debt sustainability.
