Il segretario generale delle Nazioni Unite Antonio Guterres si è congratulato con il popolo francese e con il neo-presidente Emmanuel Macron per la sua vittoria elettorale. Lo ha riferito Stephane Dujarric, portavoce del segretario generale, parlando con i giornalisti. Guterres – ha proseguito Dujarric – scriverà presto a Macron per rinnovargli personalmente le congratulazioni e attende con ansia l’occasione di poter “lavorare con lui nel prossimo futuro”.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has congratulated French President-elect Emmanuel Macron on his election victory and looks forward to engaging with him, spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters on Monday. “We obviously congratulate the people of France on the successful presidential elections that took place yesterday and president-elect Macron on his victory,” Dujarric said. “The secretary-general will be writing to the president-elect very soon to congratulate him and looks forward to engaging with him in the nearest future.”
