The Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in New York will host a meeting dedicated to Italian top managers who hold prestigious positions in international corporations. On Thursday, 9 March, the IIC will present a chat between Giovanni Caforio, CEO of BMS Bristol-Meyers Squibb and journalist Maria Teresa Cometto. The debate aims to highlight the excellent potential of Italian professionals through their individual success stories. Giovanni Caforio was appointed managing director by the Board of Directors of BMS Bristol-Meyers Squibb and officially became CEO on 5 May 2015. Before being appointed CEO, he was Chief Operating Officer with the task of managing the global integrated commercial set-up of the Company and the global production and supply services. He was born and raised in Italy and has a degree in medicine from the University of Rome. In addition to being fluent in Italian and English, he also speaks Spanish, French and Portuguese.
