Il Cremlino non è a conoscenza di un recente piano del presidente degli Stati Uniti Donald Trump per abolire le sanzioni anti-Russia e per normalizzare le relazioni russo-ucraine. Lo ha detto a Sputnik il portavoce del Cremlino, Dmitry Peskov. Il piano, riportato ieri dal “New York Times”, prevede il “ritiro di tutte le forze russe” dall’Ucraina orientale e un referendum per dare la Crimea alla Russia per 50-100 anni. “No” ha risposto Peskov quando gli è stato chiesto se il Cremlino fosse a conoscenza della proposta.

The Kremlin is not aware of a recently reported US plan for US President Donald Trump to lift anti-Russia sanctions and normalize Russian-Ukrainian relations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Sputnik on Monday. The plan, reported by the New York Times on Sunday, calls for the “withdrawal of all Russian forces” from eastern Ukraine and a referendum to lease Crimea to Russia for 50-100 years. It was reportedly authored by Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen, business associate Felix Sater and Ukraine’s opposition lawmaker Andrii Artemenko, and left with then-national security adviser Michael Flynn’s office before his ouster last week. “No,” Peskov said when asked whether the Kremlin had any knowledge of the proposal. Artemenko, in an interview with Ukrainian media on Monday, clarified that the proposal to lease Crimea to Russia covers a 30-50 year period.
