La Russia completerà quest’anno la consegna di vettori anfibi blindati BTR-80 (APC) per le forze di pace delle Nazioni Unite che operano in Bangladesh dal 1980. Lo ha detto a Sputnik Alexandr Krasovitskiy, direttore generale della Società Industriale Militare (VPK). Il contratto prevede la consegna di circa 330 BTR-80 di fabbricazione russa in Bangladesh.

Russia will complete the delivery of BTR-80 amphibious armored personnel carriers (APCs) to peacekeepers in Bangladesh this year, the vehicles’ developer told Sputnik on Monday. “Bangladesh is our regular client. The white-colored BTR-80 will go the local UN peacekeepers working there since the 1980s. We will complete this delivery this year,” Alexandr Krasovitskiy, director general of the Military Industrial Company (VPK), said. The 2014 contract reportedly entails the delivery of some 330 Russian-made BTR-80s to Bangladesh.
