Il ministro degli Esteri russo Sergey Lavrov e il suo omologo giapponese Fumio Kishida hanno concordato nel corso di un incontro a margine di eventi del G20 a Bonn di tenere consultazioni nel formato “2 + 2” a Tokyo il 20 marzo. Lo rende noto il ministero degli Esteri russo. “È stato raggiunto l’accordo per tenere il 20 marzo di quest’anno consultazioni a Tokyo nel formato ‘2 + 2’ (ministri degli esteri e della difesa)”, dice la nota. “E ‘stato anche ribadito che un nuovo ciclo di dialogo strategico a livello di primi ministri degli Esteri vice si terrà il 30 marzo a Tokyo. I colloqui tra i viceministri degli esteri sull’avvio di attività economiche congiunte sulle isole Curili del sud sono previste per marzo 18 di quest’anno”, ha detto. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida agreed during a meeting on the sidelines of G20 events in Bonn to hold consultations in the “2+2” format in Tokyo on March 20, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Friday. “The agreement was reached to hold on March 20 this year in Tokyo consultations in the ‘2+2’ format (foreign and defense ministers),” the statement said. “It was also reaffirmed that a new round of strategic dialogue at the level of first deputy foreign ministers will be held on March 30 in Tokyo. Talks between deputy foreign ministers on the establishment of joint economic activities on the South Kuril Islands are scheduled for March 18 this year,” it said. The ministry added that Lavrov and Kishida had discussed at their Bonn meeting practical implementation of agreements reached by the Russian and Japanese leaders in December 2016.
