Un nuovo reggimento di sistemi missilistici di difesa aerea avanzati S-400 Triumf verrà schierato in servizio di combattimento nei pressi di Mosca il 21 febbraio. Lo rende noto il ministero della Difesa russo. “Un reggimento missili, armato con nuovi sistemi di difesa aerea S-400, verrà schierato 21 febbraio 2017 in servizio di combattimento per proteggere Mosca e la regione industriale centrale della Russia”, si legge in una nota. Sarà il quinto reggimento S-400 a essere impiegato per proteggere lo spazio aereo intorno alla capitale della Federazione. L’S-400 è il nuovo sistema di difesa aerea della Russia. Alloggiando tre diversi tipi di missili, capaci di distruggere bersagli aerei da una distanza breve a una estremamente lunga, è in grado di tracciare e distruggere tutti i bersagli aerei esistenti, inclusi i missili balistica e da crociera.

A new regiment of advanced S-400 Triumf air defense missile systems will be deployed on combat duty near Moscow on February 21, the Defense Ministry said Friday. “A missile regiment armed with new S-400 air defense systems will be deployed February 21, 2017, on combat duty to protect Moscow and the Central industrial region of Russia,” the ministry said in a statement. It will be the fifth S-400 regiment deployed to protect the airspace around the Russian capital. The S-400 is Russia’s newest air defense system, carrying three different types of missiles capable of destroying aerial targets at a short-to-extremely-long range. The weapon is capable of tracking and destroying all existing aerial targets, including ballistics and cruise missiles.
