Il ministro degli Esteri russo Sergey Lavrov ha detto di non aver discusso delle sanzioni statunitensi contro la Federazione russa con il segretario di Stato americano Rex Tillerson. “La questione delle sanzioni – ha spiegato Lavrov ai giornalisti – non è stata discussa. Non abbiamo discusso le sanzioni, noi crediamo che questa è una anomalia, e coloro i quali hanno fatto ricorso alle sanzioni dovrebbero, in generale, valutare da se stessi quanto sia effettivo, a che entità corrisponde alle normale comunicazione fra gli stati. E a che entità il desiderio artificiale di politicizzare questa questione incontra gli interessi degli stati che vi fanno ricorso”.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Thursday he had not discussed with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson US sanctions against the Russian Federation. “The issue of sanctions has not been discussed. We do not discuss sanctions, we believe that this is an anomaly, and those who resorted to sanctions should, in general, assess for themselves how effective it is, to which extent it corresponds to the normal communication between the states. And to which extent the artificial desire to politicize this issue meets the interests of the states that resort to this,” Lavrov told reporters.
