Gli Stati Uniti non insisteranno sulla soluzione a due Stati per risolvere il conflitto tra Israele e Palestina, la Casa Bianca ha detto in un comunicato. “Una soluzione a due Stati che non porta la pace non è il nostro obiettivo”, ha detto il funzionario. “La pace è l’obiettivo, sia che si presenti sotto forma di una soluzione a due stati, se è questo che le parti vogliono o qualcosa d’altro, se è questo che le parti vogliono; noi li aiuteremo”.

The United States will not insist on the two-state solution to settle the conflict between Israel and Palestine, the White House said in a statement. “A two-state solution that doesn’t bring peace is not our goal that anybody wants to achieve, the official said. “Peace is the goal, whether it comes in the form of a two-state solution if that’s what the parties want or something else, if that’s what the parties want, we’re going to help them,” the statement said on Tuesday quoting a senior White House official.
