The Russian, French, German and Ukrainian foreign ministers, known as the Normandy quartet engaged in conflict settlement efforts in eastern Ukraine, could meet on the sidelines of the Group of 20 (G20) ministerial in Germany next week, the Ukrainian foreign minister said Thursday. “We are engaged in consultations with German and French friends on how to arrange the meeting. Perhaps it will be a meeting at the foreign ministerial level. A number of options are being considered, one of them is on the sidelines of G20 on February 17,” Pavlo Klimkin said at a briefing. He said the Normandy meeting in Bonn next Friday would be “not bad” for Kiev because it would allow it to inform other G20 ministers about the situation in eastern Ukraine.
