La difesa della Siria dall’Isis, miliziani di al-Nusra e al-Qaeda comporta l’impiego di una gamma ampia di mezzi militari. Lo ha affermato il presidente siriano Bashar Assad in un’intervista. “È possibile utilizzare ogni mezzo per difendere il popolo siriano” ha detto sottolineando come la lotta al terrorismo è “un dovere costituzionale e dovere legale”.

Defending Syria from the outlawed Islamic State (IS) jihadist group, militants formerly known as the Nusra Front and al-Qaeda affiliates requires a range of military means, Syrian President Bashar Assad said in remarks published Tuesday. “You can use every mean in order to defend the Syrian people,” Assad said in an interview to Belgian media published on the website of Syria’s SANA news service. He argued it was the Syrian government’s and armed forces’ “constitutional duty and legal duty” to combat terrorism. “It’s not an opinion, it’s a duty,” Assad stressed.
