L’aggiunta degli Stati Uniti o di altri Paesi nel quartetto Normandia non accelererà la soluzione politica della crisi in Ucraina. Lo ha detto l’inviato russo presso l’Osce, Alexander Lukashevich, in un’intervista all’emittente televisiva Rossiya 24. “È più probabile che le autorità ucraine siano interessate attraverso l’aggiunta a rafforzare le proprie posizioni sotto l’influenza occidentale per rimodellare tutta la logica della soluzione politica, che è attualmente basato su un complesso di misure di Minsk” ha sottolineato il diplomatico. Attualmente il quartetto Normandia comprende Russia, Germania, Francia e Ucraina.

The addition of the United States or other countries to the existing Normandy Four format will not expedite the political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, Russian envoy to OSCE Alexander Lukashevich said Monday. “As to the expansion of the Normandy format, I don’t think that it could currently speed up the settlement in Ukraine,” Lukashevich said in an interview with Rossiya 24 television. “It is more likely that the Ukrainian authorities are interested [through addition] in strengthening their positions using Western influence in order reshape the entire logic of the political settlement, which is currently based on the Minsk complex of measures,” the diplomat stressed. The Normandy Four contact group on Ukraine crisis comprises Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine.
