E’ iniziata ad Astana una riunione della task force congiunta di Russia, Turchia e Iran sul monitoraggio del cessate il fuoco in Siria a cui partecipano anche esperti delle Nazioni Unite e rappresentanti della Giordania. Durante i colloqui di Astana che hanno avuto luogo il 23-24 gennaio scorsi tra i rappresentanti del governo siriano e i gruppi di opposizione armata nel Paese i tre Paesi garanti della tregua (Russia, Iran e Turchia) hanno raggiunto un accordo per creare una Commissione trilaterale per monitorare le violazioni del cessate il fuoco e la riunione di oggi servirà a discutere i dettagli del meccanismo del monitoraggio e della sua attuazione, ma anche le azioni di cooperazione sulle questioni umanitarie.

A meeting of the joint task force of Russia, Turkey and Iran on Syrian ceasefire regime monitoring started in Astana, with experts from the United Nations and Jordan participating in the talks, an informed source told Sputnik on Monday. During the Astana talks that took place on January 23-24 and brought together the representatives of the Syrian government and the armed opposition groups for the first time since the beginning of the Syrian war in 2011, the three guarantor countries (Russia, Iran and Turkey) have reached an agreement to create a trilateral commission to monitor breaches of ceasefire was established to minimize truce violations.
