Il segretario di Stato americano Rex Tillerson si incontrerà oggi con l’inviato speciale delle Nazioni Unite per la Siria Staffan de Mistura presso il Dipartimento di Stato. Giovedì, nel primo giorno come segretario di Stato, Tillerson ha incontrato il ministro degli Esteri tedesco Sigmar Gabriel e ha parlato per telefono al ministro degli Esteri messicano Luis Videgaray, il ministro degli Esteri canadese Chrystia Freeland, e il Primo Ministro di Israele, Benjamin Netanyahu.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will meet with UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura at the Department of State on Friday. Earlier this week, de Mistura announced that he was personally forming the opposition delegation to participate in the Geneva talks in case he did not receive any response to the invitation till February 8. On Thursday, Tillerson’s first full day as secretary of state, the chief diplomat met with German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel and spoke by phone to Mexican Foreign Secretary Luis Videgaray, Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, and Prime Minster of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu.
