Uzbekistan, a febbraio incontri con Ue su prospettive di cooperazione bilaterale

Il governo dell’Uzbekistan intende discutere a febbraio con i rappresentanti dell’Unione europea le prospettive di cooperazione nel commercio e nella sfera economica. Lo ha reso noto l’ufficio stampa del ministero delle relazioni economiche del Paese. Il dicastero ha avuto colloqui con il capo della delegazione dell’Unione europea in Uzbekistan, Eduards Stiprais, sugli scambi bilaterali, sulla cooperazione tecnica e sugli investimenti. Nel 1996 l’Uzbekistan e l’Unione europea hanno firmato l’accordo di partenariato e cooperazione e nel 2012 l’Ue ha stabilito la sua rappresentanza diplomatica a Tashkent.

Uzbekistan’s government intends to discuss with EU representatives the prospects of cooperation in trade and economic sphere in February, a press service of Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations said Friday. According to the press service, the ministry held talks with the head of the EU delegation to Uzbekistan Eduards Stiprais on Thursday on bilateral trade, technical cooperation and investment. “The sides also discussed organization of the regular meetings of the Uzbekistan-EU Cooperation Committee and of the subcommittee on economy, trade and investment in February 2017 in Tashkent,” the ministry’s press service said in a statement. In 1996, Uzbekistan and the European Union signed the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement. In 2012, the European Union established its diplomatic representation in Tashkent. The approved volume of the EU financial support to Uzbekistan in 2014-2020 is set to reach 168 million euros [$178.6 million] and will be used to improve irrigation infrastructure, introduce renewable energy sources to agriculture sphere, promote job creation.
