Il premier giapponese, Shinzo Abe incontrerà domani il suo omologo australiano, Malcolm Turnbull. Nel corso dell’incontro a quanto riferiscono i media locali, le parti confermeranno la loro intenzione di sollecitare il presidente eletto degli Stati Uniti, Donald Trump affinché possano essere ulteriormente sviluppate le relazioni statunitensi con la regione Asia-Pacifico. Nell’agenda anche l’esame della questione della revisione del patto tra le forze armate dei due Paesi. Si parlerà anche della cooperazione tra Giappone e Australia nel quadro dell’accordo di libero scambio Trans-Pacifico.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will hold a meeting with his Australian counterpart Malcolm Turnbull on Saturday to discuss a number of the bilateral and international issues, Japanese media reported. According to the NHK broadcaster, the two leaders will confirm their intention to urge US President-elect Donald Trump to further develop relations with the Asia-Pacific region. Reviewing the pact between the two country’s armed forces will be also on the agenda of talks, the broadcaster said. Abe is also expected to discuss the cooperation with Australia within the framework of the Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade agreement to take effect and attend a meeting of business leaders.
